"R" is another speech sound that can be challenging.  Many young children will substitute the "w" sound for /r/.  While some children "grow out" of this mispronunciation, other children need direct teaching and practice to produce this sound correctly.  This song provides a context for practicing the /r/ sound once it has been learned so that the child can begin to use this sound in connected speech.
