Lyrics
Lets play, let's play.
Who knows what fun we'll have today.
When we get together and play.
Do you want to play with me?
(I'd love to play with you!)
What do you want to do?
(Something for two!)
Can we do it together?
(You know that's true!)
Me and you.
(Cock-a-doodle-doo!)
Let's play, let's play.
Who knows what fun we'll have today.
When we get together and play.
Tips for Teachers
- Ask your child, "When you want to play with a friend, how do you ask them? If someone asks you to play and you do not want to, what friendly thing can you say? "What are your favorite games to play with a friend?"
- Ask your child what their favorite thing is to do outside. Then have them act out the activities (climbing, running, swinging, building, etc.) during the song.
- Play Dough Play Mate - This is a great activity if you have more than one child. Play dough is a great time to work on concepts of turn-taking and friendship. Pair children into buddies and give each duo one tray with one piece of play dough and two tools. Encourage the children to create ONE sculpture TOGETHER. Be close by to assist them with problem solving skills.
