Each child is a unique gift to their family and the world. This song helps to convey that message to young children. Building initiative in young children requires that they first understand how special they are. A number of David Kisor's songs focus on this awareness. This is called "internal locus of control," as opposed to an "external locus of control" in which children (and adults) believe what happens to them is caused by luck or powerful forces outside of them. Tips for Parents

Ask your child how they are different from a frog or a duck or other animals. Then ask them how they are different from relatives, friends and other children. End with the conclusion that there is no one just like them and that their specialness makes you happy.
