- This is another great buddy dance. Children can work in pairs to make up their own movements for the song to perform for the group.
- Children can play the "mirror game" during this song. With two children facing each other instruct one to be the person and one to be the mirror. The "person" makes movements and the "mirror" needs to copy. Play the song again and switch roles.
- Use as a welcoming activity for a new child.
- Use simple lyrical phrases from the song during the day when redirecting children away from negative interactions.
Pen Pal Friendships - Help children write pen pal letters to a friend. Ask children to brainstorm all the different things you would want to share in a letter with a friend.
Friendship Sticks - Talk to children about how friendship is about "sticking together." Friends can help each other learn and play. "Stick" two buddies together by gently tying one child's right hand to another child's left hand with a soft scarf. Give the stuck together buddies tasks like building a block tower together.
