Parents are like pitchers of water that are constantly pouring out into their thirsty child.  It is important to reflect and discuss what refills our pitchers as parents.  How do we keep resupplying the love and commitment parenting demands?  We suggest that keeping a balance between belonging, becoming believing and be-loving is key to maintaining our own resilience.

Belonging to family, friends, community and our world connects us and grounds us when we feel overwhelmed.  Becoming new, always seeking to improve the person we are gives us direction.  Believing, not necessarily in a religious sense, but certainly in a spiritual sense in the awesome gift and responsibility of parenthood.  Be-loving in the intimacy of knowing we are lovable and can love in return.  This is at the core of well-being.
